7.30pm: 24th anniversary of Alcúdia Radio. The traditional walk from the Clot beach in Barcares, joined by others at the Plaça Carles V in the old town and then on to the Paseo Marítimo and a supper of trempó Mallorcan salad and greeting by the giants of Alcúdia.
8pm: Opening of painting exhibition by Albert Nadal. Can Torró library, C. Serra, Alcúdia town.

LA VICTORIA, Alcúdia - LA MARE DE DÉU 2015

Wednesday, 1 July:
6pm: Climb to La Victoria race from the Can Ramis municipal building by the market square, Alcúdia. Children's whistling to La Victoria, breaking of pots and draw for ensaimadas.
6.15pm: The walk to La Victoria with the giants of Alcúdia.
8:30pm: Celebration of the Eucharist at the hermitage of La Victoria.
10pm: Fritters and mistela fortified wine for all.
10.30pm: Party with the folk and dance groups Sarau Alcudienc and Tacàritx.
Half past midnight: Burnt rum for all.

Thursday, 2 July:
10am: Rockets fired from the town hall and then procession with the Alcúdia band of music.
11.30am: Arrival of dignitaries at La Victoria, accompanied by the Alcúdia band of music.
12 midday: Eucharist with traditional offer of camomile.
12.30am: Traditional "jewel" races.
2pm: Paella for the benefit of maintenance work on the hospice. Tickets available from 10am from the hermitage.
4.30pm: Ball de bot folk dance with the Alcúdia band of music and showers of sweets and hazelnuts.

Brendan O'Brian at Mucky O'Marras and Mulligan's

The great and ever-popular Brendan O'Brian, who many will know was a regular at The Posh Paddy (now closed), will be at Mucky O'Marras in Puerto Alcúdia (Nobby's new place by Linekers) and Mulligan's in Puerto Pollensa throughout this season.
