POLLENSA FAIR 2015

Friday, 13 November
6pm-10pm: Opening of the artisan craft fair. Sant Domingo Cloister. Opening also of exhibitions for old implements from the fishermen's guild (Sant Domingo), puzzles (Pollensa museum), giants and big heads (entrance of the old Residencia by Sant Domingo).
6.30pm: Opening of sewing exhibition. Plaça Vella 5.
7pm: Pollensa beer festival with local brews, microbreweries plus a food truck. C. Convent.
7.15pm: Presentation of the new website for the Prodis charity. C. Sant Josep 4.
8pm: Opening of photographic exhibition of pop-rock in Pollensa. Club Pollença.
10.30pm: Concert - Pollensa bands: Juggernaut-417, Dripolar, Boiled. Plaça Major.

Saturday, 14 November
Artisan craft fair from 11am-2pm and 4pm-10pm. Street fair from 11am-10pm.

8am-6pm: Hunting simulations' tournament. Santuïri finca.
9am-4pm: Fungus guide in Cala Sant Vicenç. 15 euros, phone 697 251 447 or 971 533 203.
10am: Open day at Can Llobera. Plaça Vella. Opening also of an exhibition about autumn, the season and the weather. La Caixa exhibition hall.
10am-11am: Workshop for making scarves. Plaça Vella.
10am-1pm: Slingshot workshop. Playground, C. Cecili Metel.
10.15am: Photo competition for Pollensa tourism. Handing-in of examples and accreditation. Tourist office.
11am: Exhibition for mule-driven well wheels and irrigation. C. Cecili Metel. Also storytelling for young children. Can Llobera.
11am: Opening of town hall and Pollensa businesses marquee. Via Pollentia.
11am-1.30pm: Video games contest. Plaça Major. Also clothes recycling workshop for 11 to 15 year olds. Plaça Major.
4.30pm-7.30pm: Adventure sports: slackline, archery, rope bridges and more. Plaça Ca les Monnares.
5pm: Procession by giants and big heads accompanies by the pipers Xeremiers Orats. From the Cloister.
5.30pm: Family theatre. Plaça Major.
6pm: Workshop - the voice of the citizens (all about participation). Can Llobera.
7pm: Illumination of the facade of the Roser church (Sant Domingo), acknowledging World Diabetes Day. Also animals' zone and sampling of kid goat with honey. Can Bach, behind the Renault garage. Ball de bot folk dance with Bunyola school of folk dance and Racó de Tramuntana. Plaça Major.
9pm: Concert - Swing, Swing, Swing by the Pollensa Band of Music. Plaça Major.
11pm: Concert - members of one-time bands from Pollensa plus DJs. Club Pollença.

Sunday, 15 November
Artisan craft fair and street fair from 10am-9pm.

10am: Animals' zone and sampling of kid goat with honey. Can Bach, behind the Renault garage. Also car show. C. Cecili Metel.
101m-1pm: Performances by students from the Pollensa School of Music. Sant Domingo Cloister.
10.30am: Sheepdog trials. Can Bach. Also members of the town hall visit the fair accompanied by the pipers and folk dances Aires de la Cala.
11am: Slingshot. Ca n'Escarrinxo. Also horse show by the Pollensa Equestrian Club. Can Bach. Handicraft workshop for children. Plaça Major.
11am-1pm: Xaranga music - moves through the fair.
11am-2pm: Music - Julie and Pep Toni, Damià Oliver, Disaster Duo, Back to Roots, Siurell, Guillermo Segui. Via Pollentia and Plaça Major.
11.30am: Family workshop.
12.30pm: Meditation demonstration. Plaça Major. Also photo competition for Pollensa tourism. Delivery of material in digital format. Tourist office.
6.30pm: Theatre. Plaça Major.
7.30pm: Film: Look, look, the godparents. Plaça Major.
8pm: Demons' correfoc fire-run with the Ca de Bou demons, drummers and children's demon gang. From the Via Pollentia.

Artisan craft fair and street fair from 10am-2pm.

  1. I am travelling to Majorca in April 2016 and trying to decide whether to stay in Alcudia or Magaluf or Can Picafort. Which is the best place to stay at when travelling with family with small kids? Waterparks, beaches and birdwatching would be interesting.
    Can you please recommend which of the above towns will be best suited?
