ALCUDIA - Tourist Day 2013
Here's the poster announcing events for this year's Tourist Day in Puerto Alcúdia on Thursday, 29 August. Sports events on the beach at Ciudad Blanca in the morning. From 7pm in the evening on the Paseo Marítimo in the port there will be a flea market, stuff for kids, magic show and music.

19:30: Fashion parade. Plaça de la Vila.
21:30: Painting of fans (for children). At the Elionor Bosch school.
Friday, 23 August:
19:30: Inauguration of exhibition by the workshop of art therapy. At the Joan Mascaró i Fornés Cultural Centre.
20:30: Inauguration of sculpture exhibition. Cafeteria Sa Caseta.
22:00: Prayer/oration for the fiestas followed by entertainment by Michele McCain. In front of the Casa de la Vila.
Saturday, 24 August:
15:00: Harvest festival. Gathering in the Plaça de la Vila before leaving for the finca s'Hort d'en Degollat. Pipers and whistlers and plates of "sopa" (two euros) plus folk music from Los Angeles, Puça, Butxe and Nsanisen. Later, DJs in the Es Colomer pub - Paskualé, Butxe, Svenson and Dirty Apetite.
21:00: Evening for Sant Bartomeu; performance by Pau i Sebastià. Plaça de la Vila.

20:00: Exhibitions of decorated jars and of posters and photographs for La Beata. 20:30: Showing of documentary about Son Real.
21:15: Performance by the Santa Margalida choir followed by wine tasting.

19:30: Workshop for infant massage (to two years old). Joan Mascaró i Fornés Cultural Centre.

21:00: Night of music, poetry and wine. Prices 6 euros or 10 euros (with supper). Cultural Centre terrace.

19:00: Competition and parade of t-shirts for La Beata. Auditorium.
19:30: Show for the end of the course at the summer school. Batucadas and processions. At the Elionor Bosch school.
21:30: Spinning, TRX and pilates. Plaça de la Vila.

21:30: Playback contest.

18:00: Mobylette party. Carretera Artà.
19:00: Children's party with the group Teatre Neo Rural.
20:00: Ringing of bells announcing the fiestas. Balconies and windows of the town are dressed, the town's "standard" and the La Beata flag are displayed.
21:30: Night of Mallorcan dance with the school of Ball de Bot and Aires Vileros.
23:30: Fire-run by the Hiachat demons from the church and ending in the Avenida Pouàs.
00:30: Rock and alternative music with the groups Boc, Aspencat and The Prussians followed by local DJs - Nsanisen, Butxe and Barnardo Plaza - in the Es Colomer pub.
Saturday, 31 August:
09:00: Cycling competition. From s'Abeurador.
18:00: Football tournament.
19:00: Gathering before (at 19:30) the offering of flowers with pipers and whistlers, the Santa Margalida music band and recorders. From the Casa de la Vila.
20:00: Mass at the parish church followed by procession with the image of Santa Catalina Tomàs. From the church square.
21:30: Supper. Prices 6 or 10 euros. Calle Hostal.
22:30: Entertainment with Duo JV and Orquesta Brooking, the groups Societat Anònima and Pirates Pirats and DJs Butxe and Puça. Then the party which translates as the "scalded cat fears cold water" through to dawn, featuring procession and band of music and the "standards" of the scalded cat.

08:00: Recorder players pass along the streets to wake up the town.
10:00: Departure of the demons and bell-ringing to wake up those who might still be sleeping.
11:00: Solemn mass plus the Santa Margalida choir, ball de bot and pipers and whistlers.
17:30: Parade of floats.
19:00: Street procession by bands of music and pipers.
21:00: The La Beata procession.
24:00: Party for La Beata night with Orquesta Champagne and La Siurell Big Band. Plaça de la Vila.

18:00: Carnamar workshop for instruments made from recyclable materials, followed by musical route from the "mirador" at Cala Barques accompanied by the Pollensa band of cornets.
20:00: Opening of exhibition in honour of Llorenç Cerdà at the Grupotel Molins hotel (continues until 25 August).
20:30: Procession with giants and the big heads of Esbart de Sant Jordi and the Orats pipers from the mirador.
21:00: "Trempó and Jazz" evening with either the trio Jazz 'n Time or the Trio Jazz Pere Dalmau. Trempó (Mallorcan salad), bread, wine, water, melon and ice-cream. Five euros on the Calle Temporal. Tickets available from bars and shops in Cala San Vicente.
